A couple was retiring to the coast, and wanted a home that felt calm. Not a dramatic reinvention — a renovation that let the house settle into its place, quiet and textured and unhurried, the way a home should feel when it's the one you've chosen to slow down in.

The palette is drawn from the shore itself — sand, driftwood, sea glass, weathered stone — textured throughout, so the eye and the hand find something everywhere they land. New England restraint keeps it grounded; the coast keeps it soft. Nothing shouts. Everything settles.
❖ Materials & finishes
Every material was chosen to reinforce the same idea: a home that belongs to its coast. Natural textures, tonal layers, and finishes that feel touched by weather and time — beach tones softened into something you can live inside every day.
